This old town is located close to the road from Policka to Havlickuv Brod. Hinsko grew out under Hradiste on an old business route. Hlinecka tvrz (fortress) mentioned already in 1413 is the eldest building in Hlinsko. Hlinsko became a town in 1834. A point of interest is also “Betlem”- small timbered houses of municipal tradesmen built at the second half of the 18th century. Nowadays you can find there the exposition of living and workshops of tradesmen, a souvenir shop with products of folklore manufacturers, a pottery shop, and seasonal exhibitions. In neighbouring village Svobodne Hamry there is a new golf course or you can go in for horsemanship there.
